My first Valentine’s Day post split was in 2022. It had been about 3 ½ months since our breakup and I was dreading it. I was feeling super jaded about love and relationships and was really mourning the loss of the future I had been looking forward to. On top of that, it ended up being the day I lost Snickers, my furry little soulmate of 19 ½ years. The loss on top loss broke me, and that day (of course it had to be Valentine’s Day), was one of the worst days of my life.
Valentine’s Day to me now is mostly just another day…I think you should let people know you love them all the time :)
Maybe the day will mean more if I ever have a Valentine again…for now it’s a day that I think of Snickers a little extra, and that makes me happy.
